Twitch | Australian Stock Footage & Photography Shoot

You’re already one of us.

Twitch is a global video streaming platform, with millions tuning in to watch live streams from around the world every day – particularly young people in the world of video gaming. Twitch has grown to be much bigger than a video streaming service – it is an online space built around fostering communities with a key focus on exciting content and genuine engagement.

We worked with Twitch to deliver stock footage and photography for ongoing internal and external communications as part of their future engagement strategy. Through close collaboration, we were able to deliver a broad range of key visuals with close attention to detail and a high standard of production.

Stock Footage Shoot by Found At Sea

Stock footage and photography can often appear generic, uninspiring and inauthentic when companies choose to acquire it from third parties. It was for this reason that Twitch reached out to Found At Sea to conduct a tailored stock footage and photography shoot which sought to capture the distinct brand identity of Twitch and provide key visuals for the specific pieces of content that Twitch is seeking to deliver in the near term. Of key concern was creating a genuine video game streaming setup that Twitch’s digitally native audiences would recognise as not simply props in a set.

We received concise feedback from Twitch regarding the kind of set they were seeking create and also the specific talent they wanted to appear on screen. For the week-long shoot, we created our set at Vine Street Studios in Darlington. With the skills and craftsmanship of Roslyn Durnford and Adam Powell we created convincing and vibrant loungeroom and bedroom sets, complete with functioning computer streaming setups.

Engaging in a thorough talent scouting exercise, we featured a large number of young talent that fit the description of the ideal future Twitch streamers and, most importantly, could play the part. Many of the talent found the experience thoroughly enjoyable – some going through the effort of colouring or styling their hair just for the shoot. We think this speaks to the broad appeal of Twitch to young people in Australia and the genuine enthusiasm for gaming and online community that it provides. This was truly one of our favorite jobs Found At Sea has worked on and we look forward to future collaboration with Twitch in the future.
